This exquisite set of Tibetan Thangka paintings features two revered wealth deities: Yellow Jambhala (the “Lord of Prosperity”) and Vaishravana (“King of Wealth Yakshas”). Crafted with traditional Tibetan embroidery, these hand-embroidered Thangkas are sacred symbols of abundance, protection, and spiritual wealth in Tibetan Buddhism—ideal for anyone seeking financial prosperity or cultural depth in their home decor. 24 inches in length and 18.5 inches in width.

Origin & Meaning of Yellow Jambhala

Yellow Jambhala is a manifestation of Buddha Ratnasambhava, revered as the deity of wealth, prosperity, and fertility.

In Tibetan Buddhist tradition: Iconography: Depicted with golden-yellow skin, seated on a lotus throne (symbol of purity). He holds a citron fruit (symbol of life’s richness) in his right hand and a mongoose (representing the power to dispel poverty) in his left. Vow: Jambhala swore to alleviate poverty and bring material/spiritual wealth to those who practice generosity and justice.

Cultural Role: Beloved by merchants, artists, and spiritual seekers alike, he embodies the idea that “true wealth is shared wealth.”

Origin & Meaning of Vaishravana (Namtose)

Vaishravana—also called Namtose—is the “King of Wealth Yakshas” and leader of the Four Direction Guardians in Tibetan Buddhism: Iconography: Depicted riding a green lion (symbol of strength), holding a sword of wisdom (to cut through ignorance) and a treasure pagoda (symbol of accumulated spiritual wealth). Divine Role: As the Buddhist counterpart to Hindu god Kubera, he rules the northern realm of Mount Meru, safeguarding riches and ensuring they are used for good. Spiritual Lesson: Vaishravana reminds followers that wealth is a tool for compassion—his lion signifies the courage to protect what matters, while the pagoda represents the “treasure of enlightenment.”

 Symbolism of the Embroidered Thangkas

These Tibetan Thangka embroideries merge artistry with deep spiritual significance: Yellow Jambhala Thangka: Vibrant gold threads symbolize prosperity, while the lotus throne and mongoose highlight the balance of material and spiritual wealth.

Vaishravana Thangka: Rich reds and greens represent power and nature’s abundance; the lion and pagoda emphasize protection and the journey toward enlightenment. Craftsmanship: Made with silk threads and traditional stitching techniques, these Thangkas are not just art—they are daily reminders of the Tibetan belief that “wealth grows when shared with intention.”

About StartGoodLuck

In a world filled with noise, we believe in the quiet power of mindfulness—one that grounds us, calms us, and connects us to something greater. We’re not just a store for Buddhist jewelry or mindfulness jewelry; we’re a bridge between the ancient wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism and modern life, bringing you carefully crafted pieces that carry intention, peace, and the spirit of a sacred consecration ceremony.

Every Buddha amulet, bracelet, and red string in our collection is the result of our commitment to honoring Tibetan Buddhism traditions, ensuring quality, and infusing each item with the blessing of a consecration ceremony(known as “Kai Guang” in Tibetan Buddhism), which is a ritual that charges the piece with positive energy, making it a personal companion on your mindfulness journey.
